“Hand Portraits” by nationally-known fine art photographer Robert Miller, will be exhibited at the Kanoe Café Gallery, 16 S. Tippecanoe Drive, Tipp City, Ohio, from September 1st through October 31, 2007. An Opening Reception will be held Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 5 – 7:30 p.m.
The series of traditionally acquired and printed medium and large format black and white photographs consists of emotional images of the human hands.
Miller’s photographs have been exhibited throughout the U.S. and the world.
Exhibition hours are Monday - Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Thursday - Saturday: 8 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (closed Sundays.)
The exhibition is free and open to the public.

“OPACITY,” by nationally-known fine art photographer Robert Miller,
will be exhibited at the Carriage Hill MetroPark Gallery,
East Shull Road & Route 201, Huber Heights, Ohio,
from March 1, 2007 through April 30, 2007.
An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 2-4PM.
"With the exhibition of Opacity, fine art photographer Robert Miller journeys into the dark side of an artist's imagination. More closely resembling impressionistic paintings than photographs, these images from 1995-2000 are the antithesis of Miller's well-known razor-sharp large format work. Softened by motion, lighting and dark character, they reflect the true definition of the word 'photography' (painting with light.) Culled from early small and medium format work, these emotional images combine opaque desolation with ethereal beauty, trademarks of Miller's photographs, past and present, which have been exhibited throughout the world."

Carriage Hill MetroPark is located just Northeast of Dayton, Ohio.
-From the North (Detroit, Toledo, Lima) take I-75 South to I-70 East
-From the South (Lexington, Cincinnati) take I-75 North to I-70 East
-From the West (St. Louis, Indianapolis) take I-70 East
-From the East (Wheeling, Columbus) take I-70 West
Take I-70 exit 38 NORTH (State Route/201 Brandt Pike) Huber Heights
(If you hit hotels and a Walmart, turn around - you’re going the wrong way!)
Go 1 mile North on SR 201 and turn RIGHT into the park entrance (E. Shull Rd.)
Take the first right into the Visitor’s Center parking lot. The gallery is located on the lower level.
The upstairs theater will be continually showing the “Opacity” DVD during the
opening reception and upon request during normal Visitor Center hours.
Refreshments will be served, and discounted prints will be available for purchase
during the opening reception, Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 2-4PM.
The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be held:

MOTHERLAND exhibition at Carriage Hill Gallery. The reception was fun and we couldn't have asked for better media coverage.
We entertained several hundred guests at the opening reception on February 3rd. Guests seemed emotionally touched by the majesty of the images on the wall and by the video version of "Motherland" that was shown continually in the gallery theater.
The show has received wonderful coverage in the newspapers. Click HERE to read the feature article in the Dayton Daily News. They included 3 large photographs from the show along with some amazing text by arts writer Pam Dillon. Another feature, including a large color photo of Pearl Nautilus Shell, Halved, appeared in the DDN Go! section. Coverage in the Huber Heights Courier and the New Carlisle Sun included announcements and photos from the actual reception. Newspapers from Cincinnati, Columbus, Middletown, Hamilton and Springfield also included articles.
There have been many kind words left in the gallery comment book. Click HERE to see a few.
The exhibition still has a month and a half to run, but if you haven't viewed it yet, please stop in soon - don't put it off. While you are there, make sure to ask the receptionist to view the Motherland video in the theater.

The Advanced Guestbook which appeared here is now gone.
Evidently, there were problems with the php script and Spammers would post dozens of bogus (but complimentary, at least!) entries a day. This is a global problem, so rather than have to delete all the new entries every day, I figured it would be easier to post in BLOG form.
