Robert Miller holds degrees from Morehead State
University (BME) and the Dana School of Music at
Youngstown State University
(Masters of Trumpet Performance) where he taught as
Graduate Assistant of Trumpet and Bands.
Miller has over 30 years of professional
performing experience performing in bands, orchestras and
chamber ensembles, in addition to solo work and brass arranging and
composition.
Recently retired from a career of teaching band
and music in public schools and universities, Miller currently performs in and is arranger
for
The Gulf Coast Brass, The Destin Brass, The Emerald Coast
Brass, Mojo Brass, and is a busy
freelance trumpet and flugelhorn performer
throughout Florida, the U.S., Mexico, and Europe.
As a soloist and in large and chamber groups,
Miller is versatile in multiple styles and genres (classical, church - wedding,
masses, contemporary Christian, and jazz and
commercial styles.)
Miller is also an Internationally-exhibited fine
art photographer (with exhibitions throughout the U.S.,
Mexico, and Europe)
