Bodega Septima 2006 Malbec Mendoza

October 13th, 2008 by robert

Major Malbec for a Song

With steak fajitas for dinner tonight, the Septima was superior. Tons of intense cherry and cinnamon with ample licorice and baking spice. A notable notch up from last night’s Trapiche Oak Cask. Considering that the Septima is only $2 more (at least at Jungle Jim’s for a mere $12.99 ) it’s a no-brainer. From nose to palate to mouthfeel to finish, this is truly a steal of a wine. Excellent varietal Argentinian malbec.

Grade: A-
